Yoga Carrot

Welcome to Yoga Carrot

Yoga has so many benefits, spiritually, mentally, physically, and it’s here on our mats, along with our breath, they all come together in union. Yoga is a fantastic way of calming the mind, de-stressing and improving circulation, digestion, strength, flexibility... the list goes on.

Our energising Vinyasa yoga classes are set in a beautiful photo studio in southwest London. Classes are dynamic and challenging as well as deeply relaxing and up-lifting. If relaxation is what you’re after definitely check out Monday and Tuesdays candlelit classes. Expect friendly faces, positive energy and some cool beats

Rebecca moved to London to pursue a career in Acting and Performance. With a background in dance and movement she came to yoga to find some strength and flexibility and immediately became hooked. She found herself becoming stronger physically and mentally and very much enjoyed who she was when on the mat.

Yoga has helped Rebecca in many ways, she’s a firm believer yoga has a magical way of just making you happier and wishes to spread that joy through her classes.

Rebecca is a 250hr, Yoga Alliance approved, Registered Yoga Teacher

So in August 2017 Rebecca travelled to the Greek Island of Santorini to do her 200 hour yoga teacher training in Vinyasa Ashtanga with Drishti International. She mainly practices Vinyasa Flow, Hot flow, Rocket, Mandala and Ashtanga, and is fully aware she needs more Yin in her life. She also recently just completed 50 hours in Rocket with The Yoga People.

Rebecca is passionate about practicing the Yamas and Niyamas and applying these moral codes to her practice, on and off the mat. Self Study, Svadhyaya, and self awareness are key to her.

Her classes are playful and dynamic

“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.”

Vinyasa Flow is currently the most popular style of yoga. Having its roots in Ashtanga yoga, you may do a lot of the same postures but the order will be different. In general the poses are held for shorter periods of time and the sequence flows constantly from pose to pose through ‘vinyasas’. In Vinyasa flow you are connecting the breath with movement, almost like a dance, it becomes a kind of moving meditation.

Brand new to yoga?
Great! We’re all beginners at some point, just come along with an open mind and an open heart. I hear a lot “But I can’t do yoga, I’m not flexible enough”, but that’s why we do yoga.
All our bodies are different and there will definitely be poses you find easier than others, you will probably fall over at some point too, but who cares?!
Yoga is non-judgemental, we all have good days and bad days, but it’s about you and your practice on your mat, plus your teacher is there to guide you and offer modifications.
There are toilets and shower facilities.
